WHALE ROUTE TOUR (HERMANUS)
The Whale Route begins in Cape Town and follows the particularly pretty R44, also known as Clarence Drive, through the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. It is a popular drive that easily rivals Chapman’s Peak in Cape Town as one of the most scenic in the country.
Travellers may experience the majestic beauty of the southern Right Whales basking in the warm waters off the Hermanus coastline. Whale watching season in South Africa is best from August to November when most whales can be found in Walker’s Bay in Hermanus.
